About Us

George Bennett started his first sign painting business, Bennett Signs, in 1956. George moved the business from it’s first location (where a bank is now), to it’s current location at 12 Brock Street in 1963. In July 1971 George hired Wayne Wright, a sign painter from Aylmer, Ontario. They worked together until December of 1992, when Wayne offered to purchase the business from George. Bennett Signs still hand painted signs when Wayne purchased the business. Wayne decided to change the business. He purchased his first computer and vinyl cutter in 1993 and gradually switched from hand painting signs to doing vinyl cut lettering and graphics. The only signs that we still paint by hand are sandblasted cedar.

In 2004 it was time for another update. We purchased our first large format printer/cutter and laminator. It was a 30″ Roland Versacamm. This new equipment allowed us to offer our customer a wide range of full colour graphics are adhesive vinyl, banner material, and canvas. We quickly outgrew the printer and upgraded in 2006 with a 54″ Roland Pro II V printer/cutter, and a new 54″ Seal laminator. In addition to providing large format printing and vinyl cutting, we also offer custom routing and engraving, screen printing, dimensional letters and graphics, sandblasted cedar signs, and much more.
